For over 200 years, there has been a Passion Play in Thiersee. In 1799, to avert impending war, the Thiersians promised that in Lent they would re-enact the suffering and death of Christ. In 2022, over 250 youth and adults from Thiersee come together again to present what has become a beloved tradition in the village, the Life and Passion of Christ, the decisive event in history that gave victory to hope, love, light, and life.
