Enjoy the festive season with a visit to Schwaz: Lovingly decorated stalls fill the atmospheric streets of the town’s historic heart, Maximilianplatz Square, with the colours, sounds and smells of Christmas.
The Schwaz Advent Market is always a sensational celebration. The sights and lights strike smiles into the spirited shopper, pulling crowds from far and wide to experience the delightful little wooden chalets on Maximilianplatz Square, all beautifully decorated and prettily arranged, at the heart of Tirol’s Silver Town. The Schwaz Advent Market will be opened Friday, November 22, 2024, and takes place on all four Advent Season weekends from Friday through Sunday.
On every Sunday during Advent Season, a candle will be lit on the giant Advent Wreath, accompanied by performances from local associations, schools and kindergartens. Explore the wonderful range of seasonal specialties on offer on the bespoke traditional timber chalets, offering a variety of culinary signature delicacies of the season. The town will be filled with craft stalls, traditional entertainment, free carriage rides and children’s workshops.
