Historic Hofgarten Park at the heart of Innsbruck’s old town sparkles for the holidays with millions of twinkling lights and displays: “Lumagica” transforms into a winter wonderland of dazzling lights.
Royal stags, lions and elephants, delicate ice crystals, mythical figures and forest dwellers will delight and amaze visitors. More than 300 elaborate decorations and animated figures create a dazzling Christmas lights display in the Hofgarten Park in Innsbruck, revolving around the philosophy of “Peace, Love, Family”. Starting November 15, 2024, the festive lighted displays will run over two months. A large portion of the historical gardens are lit up in six different scenes, inspired by the rich history of the Hofgarten, translating to ‘imperial gardens’: From the archdukes' historical pleasure garden and the zoo that housed the imperial “menagerie” to the garden that once surrounded the now long-gone Ruhelust Castle. Visitors are sure to be enchanted as they stroll past the amazing Christmas lights displays, surrounded by spherical sounds. A walk along the 1,000-meter long sparkling light trail is a great way to ring in the Christmas season. Opens daily at 5:00pm.
