A remarkable fortress with imposing walls and towers, decked out in millions of lights: The Ehrenberg Castle Ensemble transforms into a magical paradise during the Lumagica Festival of Lights.
Upon entering through the Baroque portal, visitors are sure to be enchanted as they stroll through a fairytale world past the amazing fable lights displays, surrounded by spherical sounds. Lumagica features a series of story-telling animated characters surrounded with millions of Christmas lights. Delicate ice crystals, dragons, fish, mythical figures like the “star girl” and the “Ehrenberg cat” and, of course, Knight Rudiger, create a dazzling Christmas lights display that will delight and amaze visitors.
The Lumagica Festival of Lights is a memorable walk-through event and contains more than 170 displays with millions of twinkling lights. Average festival visitation time is about an hour. For a more thrilling view of the lights, from the lofty height of 114 meters, walk along the 406 meter long and 1.2 meter-wide suspension bridge between the historic relics of Ehrenberg Castle Ensemble and the remains of the 17th-century Roman Fortress Claudia (admission to the bridge is included in the ticket price). Moreover, the Ehrenberg Castle Ensemble offers a hotel, a restaurant and a tiny museum.
