Beginning in late December, the “Voice of the Castle” brings the story of almost 1,000-years-old Kufstein Fortress to life with projected images in the most dynamic way and creates memorable experiences.
The journey begins with a ride on the spectacular panoramic elevator, which whisks visitors up to the remarkable Kufstein Fortress that dominates the landscape of Kufstein as much today, as it did centuries ago. The experience continues across the courtyard and the herb garden into the long tunnel of the fortress hill, where visitors will get close-up and personal with the literal “Heart Chamber”. The 50-minute tour of the fortress brings the story of Kufstein Fortress to life with giant projection mapping, a 3D video projection technique by Vienna-based Lumine Company. Using light and colors, projection mapping projects virtual images onto the fortress walls and other locations, including the world’s largest outdoor organ at the tower, named the “Heroes’ Organ”. The “Voice of the Castle” tells the rich history of the fortress and about how life was like here in times long past.
