Zombie and alien masks, characters from fantasy films, glass eyes – all these modern trends which have become popular at Krampus Runs in recent years are not to be found in Tarrenz. Instead, custom and tradition are very much the name of the game. This year's celebrations take place on December 6, 2022, with many elements and even some costumes dating back to 1880: Hand-carved, wooden masks, heavy and elaborate dresses made of lamb skin and goat skin and traditional willow branches brandished as weapons. One day earlier, on December 5, 2022, at 7:00pm, it is the turn of the Young Krampuses to parade through Tarrenz.
