More than 2,000 cross country skiers coming from all around the globe will compete for their chance at glory at the Koasa Race, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this February—and will again be held as “App Run”.
The lofty mountain massif of Wilder Kaiser, lovingly dubbed Koasa, gave the race its name and is towering competitors all along their way. The course of the 50th International Tirolese Koasa Race, held February 10 and 11, 2024, will take passionate cross country skiers through the environs of St. Johann in Tirol, Niederhofen, Kirchdorf und Rettenbach on wonderful and immaculately groomed trails. The 7K, 22K or 45K skate or diagonal stride races are a great way to test personal endurance. Race day options for juniors include the 800M Super Mini Koasa Race and the 2K and 4K Mini Koasa Races. It’s all about fun!
Moreover, the Koasa Race “App Run”, which was created in 2021 due to the pandemic, turned out to be very popular among the cross country ski racing scene and thus twill be held this year again. Those who want to participate, can simply download the Strava App and complete the Koasa Race route anytime in January or February 2024. The start and finish area is located at the Koasa Stadium and the App will count the time automatically. The 15K cross country route can either be skied once or twice and boasts different segments. The Koasa Race as well as the Koasa App Run are part of the Euroloppet series. Medails and cups will be sent to the winners.
