Explore the new Wildschönau High Elevation Trail and challenge your body and mind in this non-competitive day of hiking: The “High Trail Trophy” is all about nature exploration and fun.
The challenge starts early in the morning at 08:00am. The gondola conveniently whisks participants up from Niederau to the top of Markbachjoch. From there, it’s a beautiful hike along the new Wildschönau High Elevation Trail with 14.5 kilometers of intermediate rated, well-marked routes across four summits and various Alpine pasture huts.
The new High Trail Trophy is a non-competitive hiking event that encourages people to get out and experience the awesome beauty of nature among a party of like-minded. The hike shouldn’t tire people of moderate physical ability who are able to gain 637 vertical meters. Choose to register as an individual or under a team challenge. For the more ambitious, prizes are awarded three-deep in each category.
