E-biking is growing in popularity in the mountains. Get a little boost in your pedal as you explore exclusive trails in Ischgl during the 5th E-Bike World Championships for Everyone in late summer.
It doesn’t matter if you have ever raced before. Anyone who loves to mountain bike can take on this adventure. You even don’t need to bring your own electric bike as they are available for rental on the spot. Competitors can choose how far they want to ride on September 07, 2024: The 28-kilometer long “Everyman” route that climbs 530 vertical meters or the longer “Elite” route for advanced riders that gains 1,470 meters of elevation along 39 kilometers.
Athletes race against the clock and have to achieve a certain timed limit. The fastest rider will earn the title of E-Bike World Champion. Medals in gold, silver and bronze and prizes are awarded three deep. Permitted are electric mountain bikes, also known as pedal assists or pedelecs, which activate their electric motor only while the rider is pedaling and can legally assist up to a maximum speed of 25 kilometers per hour (you can pedal the bike faster than 25 kph, but the motor won’t kick in beyond that speed). Down the finish lines it’s all about having fun with an expo area and a Championship Party with live music on race day.
