The safe homecoming of the cows is celebrated with a huge farmer’s market and festival at the village square in Landl during the two Kufstein Cattle Drives in September. In October, Ebbs welcomes the stallions back to the Haflinger stud farm.
The animals will return from their summer grazing grounds to their winter quarters down in the valley in the environs of Thiersee on September 14 and 21, 2024. On both Saturdays, Cattle Drive celebrations commence by 11:00am on the village square in Landl with a concert given by the Landl brass band. Staples of Tirolean cuisine are available from the farmer’s market and a lively children’s entertainment program awaits. Around 1:00pm, there will be live music entertainment.
On Saturday, October 12, 2024, the die Haflinger stallions will return from the Alpine pastures to the Haflinger stud farm in Ebbs. Festivities begin at 11:00am, where visitors celebrate the safe homecoming of the horses over local specialties and live music. The stallions will arrive at the stud farm around 1:00pm.
