The deliciously sweet nectar produced by the Western honey bee is the basis for the delicious produce made by the Tirolean Association of Beekeepers and sold in the association's three shops in Innsbruck, Imst and Kundl.
Sweet temptation
These shops offer not only all the equipment needed by amateur beekeepers but also finished items such as honey, flower pollen, propolis and royal jelly in various stages of cultivation as well everything required to make real beeswax candles.
Some of the most eye-catching products on sale include honey infused with thyme or pinewood, mead (perfect with gingerbread!), propolis bonbons to combat sore throats, capsules of royal jelly to ward off tiredness in spring, propolis cream to soothe aching feet – the list goes on.
Bee products are known as excellent natural remedies for many complaints, from poor concentration to the menopause. And even if you are not convinced by the healing and soothing properties of honey, beeswax, etc. they are always a good excuse to give into sweet temptation.
