Owner Daniel Matt describes his Concept Store resort as a place where he aims to bring together "specialists, avant-gardists and all those crazy people out there who have made a name for themselves in their respective fields, from traditionalists to the latest up-and-coming talents."
The store focuses mainly on natural cosmetics (which can be tried out in-store during special sessions) and original living accessories from around the world. One thing unites all the items stocked at resort: sustainability.
Sustainable and cool
Among the projects which Matt supports is Bionic Yarn, a fashion label developed by hip-hop superstar Pharrell Williams in collaboration with G-Star Raw. G-Star Raw for the Oceans is a clothing line made using a highly wear-resistant thread incorporating recycled plastic. As we are all too aware, discarded plastic in the world's oceans is one of the biggest environmental problems of today and is a major threat to aquatic flora and fauna. By turning this rubbish into cutting-edge fashion, Pharrell Williams and G-Star Raw struck a nerve with Daniel Matt, who decided to include G-Star Raw for the Oceans streetwear for men and women in his store in Innsbruck.
The Concept Store resort also serves as an art gallery where contemporary photographers are invited to display their work on the shop walls.
