The Zillertal Valley Regional Museum in Zell am Ziller gives visitors an insight into life in the Zillertal Valley over the last decades and centuries. The building dates back more than 300 years and has been lovingly preserved right down to the wood-burning oven and outdoor toilet. It was originallx erected in the year 1713 in the neighbouring village of Schwendau, where it was taken down in 1994 and moved piece by piece to Zell am Ziller to become the local history museum. As well as the museum itself there is a small chapel, an outbuilding and a replica of a traditional outdoor stove.
