Around 400 farms throughout the valley deliver fresh milk every day to the ErlebnisSennerei Zillertal in Mayrhofen. Visitors wishing to find out now have the opportunity to exactly that thanks to audio guides and showrooms where they can watch experts at work through huge glass facades. Guests are also invited into the dairy's own farmyard with its cows, goats, sheep and chickens. There are even beehives where information boards provide details about these fascinating insects.
After all that learning it's time for a little fun, right? The dairy has its own hay barn for messing around, a mini tractor trail and what is probably the biggest milk churn in the world with a viewing tower and giant slide. The on-site restaurant serves some of the excellent local produce made on the farm.
