A delightful way to explore Tiefenbach Gorge in Tirol’s Unterland Region, the narrow, well maintained walking track offers wonderful adventure and dramatic beauty. Situated between Kramsach and Brandenberg, Tiefenbach Gorge is a narrow chasm, incised into the rock by the cascading waters of Brandenberger Ache River. The scenic trail across the gorge is edged by the river’s frothing white torrents and takes you along bizarre rock formations. Tumbling over cliffs and down steep-sided ravines, waterfalls add a delightful extra dimension to this walk over boardwalks and bridges. There is a viewpoint on the highest point of the gorge, very close to the rushing water. Marvel at the relentless power and beauty of nature, and see how the deep and narrow gorge was created. After one hour, you’ll reach a beautiful meadow where two snack bars are located.
