The Wonder Walking Trail next to Sennhütte Hut above St. Anton offers excellent opportunities to observe and learn about the variety of flora and fauna, tree growth, animal habitat, and local geology. This easy, self-guided interpretive trail introduces kids of all ages to the many different features of nature, including the gnarly trees of the so-called “drunken forest”. This unique crowd-pleasing loop offers interactive terminals to pique the interest of children and adults. The Wonder Walking Trail winds through captivating habitats containing a variety of plant and animal life and was created to get children back to their literal roots— their senses awakened by experiences in nature. This is a great opportunity for the whole family to experience the great outdoors and to appreciate nature at its finest at an elevation of 1,500 meters.
