Hainzenberg Gold Mine

For many years the Hainzenberg Gold Mine has given visitors a look into Tirol’s mining history—and you can be part of this gold mining adventure! Descend underground as you partake in the gold mine tour and experience the mountain as it was for hard rock gold miners. As you descend into the shaft, you will hear tales of miner’s struggles to uncover gold deep within large veins and watch a remarkable multi-media show on gold mining. The two-hour adventure departs from Hochzell Cheese Dairy and includes a ride on the Zillertal Gold Express and cheese sampling at the dairy. An exciting adventure for all ages, join us for some fun and a great learning experience. Next to the Cheese Dairy you will find a wide open game reserve with wild deer, small game and small farm animals.
