You’ll find amusement galore at the Alpinolino, a fun and exciting area for younger visitors close to the top of Alpenrosenbahn Gondola at an elevation of 1,770 meters. This one-of-a-kind, Alpine nature-themed playground is made up of activities that allow your child to engage in physical activity and feel a sense of accomplishment.
High above Westendorf, up in the Kitzbühel Alps, kids can hide like a marmot, have a race jumping with weasel and hare, climb like an ibex, and conquer a peak to peer into the habitat of a golden eagle. Embedded between the Choralpe and Talkaser mountain ranges, Alpinolino features many great highlights such as the “Spoggolino” ball run, a huge double swing, a zipline and a long-jump pit. Inquisitive minds will find plenty to keep them busy on the “Himmelssteig” ("Celestial Trail") with its 14 interactive quiz stations. Leading down to the valley from the mid-mountain terminal, the “Holzwurmweg” ("Woodworm Trail") incorporates the unique terrain and various interactive activities to keep children entertained.
A further highlight is the Alpinorama, where you can hike to the highest point in the SkiWelt at Fleiding and enjoy wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Or how about a visit to the Kreuzjöchlsee, a remote mountain lake well worth a visit? A good place to cool off on hot days, if you are brave enough!
