Geared towards thrill-seekers, the new Alpine Coaster in Alpbach provides one and a half kilometers of gravity driven twists, turns and thrills—plus a spectacular 360 degree turn. At 18 meters over the ground, this is the highest of its kind to be found in all of Austria, giving participants an especially wild plunge at speeds up to 40 kilometers an hour.
The new “Lauser Sauser“, a year-round Alpine Coaster ride, brings its own thrills to the slopes of Alpbachtal Valley. The adventure begins right at the top of Wiedersbergerhornbahn Gondola in Alpbach, at an altitude of 1,845 meters. From there, it leads a twisting, turning descent down the mountain in individual coaster cars along a 1,420 meter track through the forest. Riders have complete control of their speed (up to 40 kph) for a truly unique, hands-on experience. The “Alpbachtal Lauser Sauser” Alpine Coaster makes a spectacular 360 degree turn and is elevated 18 meters off the ground, making it the highest of its kind to be found in all of Austria. There’s a speed control station and you can buy a photo of your ride afterwards. To ride alone, children must be 8 years of age or older, and 1.30 meters or taller.
