Family skiing in Wipptal Valley

Small, but oh my ski god! Not least due to the magnificent backdrop of the Stubai mountains, the Bergeralm ski arena is ideal for youngsters and their families.

Towering above the town of Steinach, the Bergeralm ski arena makes for a relaxed winter holiday for the whole bunch. While the little ones embark on their first ski adventure with Noah, the brown bear, pros race down the panoramic pistes with different difficulty levels. Button lifts, chair lifts and a gondola will help you to get back on track. And if you dare to go steeper – maybe up to the Nösslachjoch at 2,231 metres – you can leave your youngsters with the Bear’s Nest staff who will look after your little ones in the children’s area at the Panorama Restaurant. And if you haven’t had enough by then, try the family lift over in the village of Trins.

One of the highlights of Wipptal Valley is night skiing. Four different pistes are illuminated every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 18:30 to 21:30 for the night owls amongst you.

DISCOUNT. Children born after 2016 ski for free if they are accompanied by one parent with a paid ski pass. Families with one paying parent and one children’s ski pass get all children’s ski passes for 50 percent of the children’s price.

SKI SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN. Sport Messner offers three different group ski courses for children aged four and above with a minimum of four participants. Beginners can practice their “pizza slices” with Noah, the brown bear, on the beginner slope, while more advanced kids can embark on a chairlift adventure. Courses last for a maximum of five days.
