With its wide range of childcare options, easy slopes and special family deals, the Wilder Kaiser region is perfect for families with young children and also offers plenty of pistes for advanced and expert skiers. Visitors can also explore the new "Witches' Winter" adventure area.
hanks to its connection with SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, the region offers parents and children an enormous choice of easy slopes and beginner-friendly facilities. Parents with babies and toddlers in particular enjoy fabulous benefits with the childcare facilities offered by “Kiko” Kids Granary in Söll and very reasonable family ski pass deals. Children can learn how to take their first steps in the snow, for example at “Hexenwiese - Witches Meadow” in Söll - free of charge for the whole family. Those feeling a little more confident can visit the Kinderkaiserland with its ski adventure park at the cable car mountain terminal in Scheffau. A new attraction is the "Witches' Winter", an outdoor adventure area previously only open to visitors in summer. Meet the witches themselves while out and about on the pistes and stop off at the Simonalm hut for a spooky "witches lunch in the dark". Don't be late – food is served at precisely 11:64 o'clock!
Attractions away from the slopes include the Kaiserbad swimming pool in Ellmau, a pretty village where the popular Austrian TV series "Der Bergdoktor" is filmed. From mid-January until mid-March there is a Husky Day every Friday in Söll where guests can experience what it is like to ride on a sled drawn by these friendly, powerful animals.
