The Ski Arlberg network of pistes and lifts is one of the largest anywhere in Austria, boasting long descents and fabulous scenery.
St. Anton am Arlberg is quite simply one of the best ski resorts in the world. Even expert skiers and snowboarders would need several weeks to ski all the slopes in the Ski Arlberg network. From St. Anton am Arlberg wintersports enthusiasts can also access slopes in the villages of Lech and Zürs over the border in the neighbouring province of Vorarlberg. The highest point in the resort is the Vallugaspitze (2,811 metres). It is here that the longest run in the area begins, winding its way nine kilometres and 1,350 vertical metres down the mountain all the way back to the village of St. Anton. Please be aware that the Valugabahn II cable car up to the top of the mountain can only be used in the company of a mountain guide if you are planning to ski down. As well as hardcore terrain there is plenty of easier skiing for families as well as beginners' areas, kids' areas and funparks for freestyle fans.
