Attractions in St. Anton am Arlberg

St. Anton am Arlberg is home to many traditional villages where time seems to stand still. From rushing rivers to craggy canyons, this area in the west of Tirol is blessed with a wonderful array of natural highlights.

It is just a short cable car ride – or a long walk – up to one of the most incredible spots in Tirol: the viewing platform on the Vallugaspitze mountain at 2,800 metres above sea level. There is no cable car into the Schnanner Klamm, a narrow ravine where a series of small walkways gives visitors the opportunity to experience the incredible power of water up close. The "WunderWanderWeg" invites walkers to take explore the region with all their senses: touch (barefoot walking path), smell (alpine herb walking path) and sight (alpine flower walking trail). The Mösli protected landscape near Flirsch is home to many typical alpine plants, trees and bushes. Skiing enthusiasts can visit the local history museum in St. Anton, which tells the story of how alpine skiing developed in the region. Last but not least, take the plunge in the local swimming pools and spas.
