Hiking in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis

The area around Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis is very popular with families. These villages in the "Oberes Gericht" in the west of Tirol give easy access to the northern peaks of the Samnaun Mountains, while children will love exploring the forests, meadows and lakes.

Perched on a high plateau above the Upper Inn Valley, the pretty villages of Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis are an excellent starting point for walks and hikes. Many peaks can be easily accessed using lifts and cable cars. There are lots of trails suitable for families such as the circular walk from the mid-way station of the Alpkopfbahn cable car up to the Hög-Alm hut above Serfaus. Children will love the Hög Adventure Park next to the hut. A little higher up, at the mid-way station of the Komperdellbahn cable car, there is another trail to the Möseralm hut leading through lush meadows and cool forests. Families with older children will enjoy the water-themed Sauerbrunn Trail in Ladis, which takes its name from the Sauerbrunn spring whose water is believed to have healing properties. Serfaus and Fiss are connected by a challenging ridgetop trail with fabulous views of the surrounding mountains.
