The Pillerseetal Valley in the Kitzbühel Alps is hidden away in the heart of the Loferer Rocky Mountains. Skiers and snowboarders here can enjoy three totally different ski resorts.
Families with children will love the Pillerseetal Valley. The ski resort on the Buchensteinwand mountain with its 30-metre-high crucifix at the summit can be accessed quickly and easily from the valley and has pistes catering for all ages and abilities, including one black run for experts as well as easy slopes for beginners. The somewhat larger resort of Steinplatte-Waidring enjoys a sunny location and has its own funpark for snowboarders and freestyle skiers. Last but not least, the biggest of the three resorts covers the Lärchfilzkogel and Reckmoos mountains and gives direct access to the huge Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn ski network, one of the largest wintersports areas in Austria.
The Kitzbüheler Alpen SuperSkiCard gives holders access not only to all ski resorts in the Kitzbühel Alps but to a total of 21 ski resorts in Austria with more than 900 lifts and cable cars.
