Hidden away between the Lechtal Alps and the Allgäu Alps, the Lechtal Valley is dominated by the Lech river. The mountain biking here is excellent for families with not too much climbing and plenty of easy riding through the local nature park.
Most of the mountain biking trails in the Lechtal Valley are rated intermediate. Some of the best riding can be found at the region's riverbanks, side valleys and lush meadows. We recommend the trail through the Namloser Tal Valley to the remote village of Fallerschein with its traditional wooden huts. There are also several long rides along the banks of the Lech river taking in villages along the way. Stage 1 of the Bike Trail Tirol leads from Steeg to Weißenbach and has great views of the surrounding mountains. Stage 31 is on tarmac trails from start to finish and concludes in St. Anton am Arlberg. Here again there are fabulous views, this time of the Valluga Mountains and the source of the Lech river.
