The St. Johann in Tirol region with its villages of Erpfendorf, Kirchdorf and Oberndorf is dominated by the craggy peaks of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains. Visitors will find plenty of riding both down in the valley and up in the mountains, including challenging singletrack trails.
From the Leukental Valley, located between the Kaiser Mountains, the Kirchberg Mountains and the northern peaks of the Kitzbühel Alps, families can easily access quiet valleys and quaint villages. More challenging riding can be found near St. Johann in Tirol with its singletrack trails. Advanced and expert bikers will need strong legs to conquer the infamous Kitzbühel Horn with its 935 vertical metres of elevation gain. The middle station of the Harschbichlbahn cable car marks the start of the Harschbichl Trail. At the bottom there is a skills area where riders can practise their bike-handling. Another bike park can be found in Oberndorf. Last but not least, there is plenty of easy cruising along the banks of the Großache river with its remote hamlets, lush meadows and spectacular views.
