Fine views of the Nordkette Mountains, the Tux Alps and the Mieming Plateau, excellent courses – and all that right on the doorstep of Tirol's bustling regional capital, Innsbruck.
The region around Innsbruck is home to no fewer than four golf courses. The Golfclub Innsbruck-Igls hält in Lans, south of Innsbruck, has a large 9-hole course with lush fairways and fantastic views of the Nordkette Mountains on the other side of the Inn Valley. In Rinn, just a few kilometres away, there is an 18-hole course with rolling fairways at the foot of the Glungezer mountain – a challenging but beautiful golfing experience. The Golfpark Mieminger Plateau has 27 holes to play, all of which offer fine vistas of the Mieming Mountains and the Stubai Alps. There is a challenging 18-hole course and an easier 9-hole course. Last but certainly not least, Olympia Golf Igls just outside Innsbruck has a small but perfectly formed course – perfect for a quick round of golf in the afternoon following a morning of sightseeing in the city. All four courses have clubhouses serving good food.
