One of Austria's highest ski resorts, Kühtai is perfect for families with children thanks to its top facilities, great activities and snowsure conditions throughout the season.
Perched at just over 2,000 metres above sea level, the Kühtai ski area is the highest family-friendly winter sports resort in Tirol. And as one would expect, the guarantee of snow cover is correspondingly high. Virtually all hotels along the local road have direct access to the slopes and everything is within a convenient distance. This means the family ski resort is clearly structured and children lose no time in getting out and about in the great outdoors. A real highlight is the Kühtai Rally, a treasure hunt on skis through the entire ski area, which can be solved with the assistance of a smartphone app and is suitable for the whole family. KPark, a high-class fun park, is particularly popular with older children and young persons and is equipped with a line for younger novices. Don't forget to check out the KidsPlay Hexagon.
The Family Tour on “Zieseln”, small, electric tracked vehicles, hardly bigger than a wheelchair, is another fun attraction. Moreover, Kuhtai guests can sample the delights of cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ski tours, all with introductory offers for children. Avalanche safety training, igloo-building workshops and Olympic events are also available as part of the weekly activity programme.
Those who can’t ignore the allure of city life can take advantage of the free and speedy shuttle bus transfer to and from Innsbruck.
Children's Ski Schools in Kühtai. The ski resort of Kühtai has two snowsports schools offering courses for children of all ages. BOBO the Penguin will help youngsters take their first turns on snow at the Skischule Kühtai, while at the Skischule Follow Me it is friendly Kühti the Cow who is the star of the show.
