Imst is home to a small but perfectly formed family ski area in the eastern Lechtal Alps. Here, high above the valley floor, both adults and children alike can carve, cruise and top up their tan in the warm sun.
Perched above the Gurgltal Valley, the Inn Valley and the town of Imst, the ski resort Hoch-Imst is perfect for families thanks to its compact size and range of easy and intermediate slopes. Runs up to 2,050 metres above sea level mean snow is guaranteed all season. Hoch-Imst may be the only ski area in the Imst region, but it has plenty to keep skiers of all abilities entertained. Freestyle skiers and snowboarders will enjoy the funpark. There are also several ski touring routes and a large beginners' area at the bottom of the lifts for children and those new to the sport. Several traditional wooden huts serve local food and offer fine views of the surrounding landscape. If you fancy a day off the slopes, check out the Alpine Coaster, a one-seater mini rollercoaster winding its way down the mountain, or hire a toboggan for a fun alternative activity suitable for all the family.
