The Venet mountain, perched above Landeck and Zams, is a magnet for wintersports enthusiasts in the region. Its compact ski resort has pistes for beginners, cruisers and experts as well as a number of off-piste ski touring routes. Don't forget to stop for a moment and enjoy the view.
Beginners and families in particular will feel at home on the sunny slopes stretching from the ski lifts in Zams and Rifenal up onto the Krahberg mountain (2,212 metres). Unlike in Tirol's larger resorts there are almost zero lift queues here. Snowboarders and freestyle skiers can work on their tricks in the local funpark, while beginners and those returning to the sport will enjoy the easy learning slopes. Advanced and expert skiers with the requisite knowledge can head off-piste on the ski touring routes within the resort. And if you do run out of options, it is just a 30-minute drive to some of Tirol's largest ski areas such as the family-friendly Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis and the huge network of pistes around St. Anton am Arlberg.
