The sunny Hohe Salve resort is one of the best places from which to access the huge SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, a network of interconnected ski areas in the east of Tirol. Hohe Salve has many easy pistes, heated chairlifts and the Kids Club Salvenaland Hopfgarten with a beginners' area, two conveyor-belt lifts and childcare services for children up to three years of age. The qualified instructors at the Skischule Alpin, a ski school with its own area for beginners away from the busy slopes, have all the skills and experience to teach children to ski in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Families can now also use the ski storage facilities at the bottom of the lifts in Hopfgarten.

Highlights include a Native Indian Day, treasure hunts and ski races with prizes. Children will enjoy taking their first tentative turns on snow in the special beginners' area, while there are also drinks for children, a carousel and an easy-access children's lift.
