Pumptrack at Lienz
The new World Cup Pump track, at the valley station of the Lienz cable car, offers beginners and advanced players plenty of action and lets you improve your motor skills with every completed lap. So, before you go on the single trails, have a few warm-up rounds on the new pump track!
Opening hours are adapted to the Lienz cable cars / daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
How it works:
A rollercoaster feeling motivates young and old and promotes the improvement of motor skills. Here you can build up speed without pedalling by cleverly shifting your body weight before and after each wave as well as applying dynamic curve technology skills. Just stay loose in the hip and firmly grip your handlebars
Tips for parents:
Children from the age of 3 can improve their motor skills here. Go inside the pump track and stabilize your child with your posterior hand under the armpit. Use your front hand to stabilize the handlebars if necessary. The children's feet are supposed to touch the ground while sitting. Encourage the children to alternate from sitting to a standing position - creating momentum by up and down body movements – this is called “pumping”.
Rules:
Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult
Use at your own risk!
Parents are responsible for their children!
Spectators keep off the track at all times
Keep the track plus the 2 metres surrounding it free
Use of the 1m wide track is only permitted with suitable protective equipment (helmet, protectors, etc) and suitable bikes and is at your own risk (bicycles, balance bikes, likeabikes)
Prohibited: Skateboards, inline skates, scooters, motorized devices
Please check the facility before cycling and do not use it in case of damage, incompleteness and bad weather (e.g. rain, snow, ice, poor visibility) and please report any damage!
