Wörgl is considered the most important retail hub in the Tiroler Unterland. Excavations have revealed that this region has a long tradition of trade dating all the way back to the early Iron Age. As part of the Hohe Salve Holiday Region, Wörgl is the ideal starting point for many hikes and bike rides down in the valley or up onto the slopes of the Möslalmkogel and Hohen Salve (1,829 m) mountains, both of which offer fantastic views. In winter there is the nearby SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental, Austria’s largest interconnected ski area.
