Famous for its many hours of sunshine, the family-friendly Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region has made a name for itself in the mountain bike scene thanks to its large bikepark accessible via the Waldbahn cable car.
The trails in the bikepark are categorised as Easy, Medium and Expert. Beginners and families will enjoy the easy Milky Way trail, while experts and pros can push their limits on the technical Hill Bill trail with its kickers and drop-offs. There are plenty of bike shops in Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis where visitors can hire bikes suitable for trailriding.
The region's natural trails are also divided into Easy, Medium and Expert. The best way to make the most of your time in the area is by riding the cable car up to the top of the mountain and then whizzing back down before doing it all over again. The popular Frommes Trail, for example, starts near the top of the Schönjochbahn cable car (2,490m) and descends more than 1,000 vertical metres down into the valley – natural, flowy and great fun. The same goes for a series of other trails in the area, including the Scheid Trail, Flüster Trail and Zirben Trail. Guided mountain bike rides are offered on these and other trails during the summer months.
