Rettenschöss is a small village in the Kaiserwinkl Region perched high above the valley floor. It offers fabulous views of the Zahmer Kaiser Mountains.
The pretty hamlets and settlements that make up Rettenschöss lie between 600 and 1,450 metres above sea level and include a number of farmhouses up to 800 yers old. It is an ideal destination for those in search of peace and quiet, though visitors keen on outdoor sports such as hiking, mountainbiking and ski touring will also find plenty to keep them occupied. It is just a five-minute drive from Rettenschöss to Walchsee, Tirol's fourth-largest natural lake. Throughout the year there are traditional celebrations such as the "Kaiserwinkl-Sonnwendfest" held in the period around the summer solstice.
