Small but perfectly formed, the ski resort of Oetz is ideal for families. The slopes on the Acherkogel and Roßkopf mountains cater for all abilities, from beginners to experts, and can be easily accessed using the Acherkogelbahn cable car. Two of the ski schools can be found here at 2,000 metres above sea level, where they offer group lessons and private tuition. There is also an equipment hire shop in the resort.
The resort has specialised in catering to families with children. Highlights include a special adventure slope and a funpark as well as a children's restaurant and a ski kindergarden in the resort. More experienced skiers and snowboarders can test their skills on the Mohrenkopf mountain and the off-piste terrain near the Wetterkreuzbahn cable car. Speed freaks can measure their top speed on the race course. And, last but not least, there is a snowpark near the Balbachsessellift. for snowboarders and freestyle skiers. The resort is equipped with a comprehensive network of snowmaking machines.
Cosy huts and a large restaurant with fabulous views at the top of the Acherkogelbahn cable car offer traditional Tirolean food. Don't miss out on visiting the "Zugspitzblick" viewing platform in Oetz and the snow village at 2,000 metres. Visitors can even stay the night in the igloo village on the mountain.
There is plenty of accommodation for all tastes and budgets. The village itself is small, so it is easy to walk from your hotel or apartment to the lifts.
