The large family-friendly ski resort of Nauders offers action and adventure aplenty, including a number of slopes leading up over the border into neighbouring Italy.
Nauders is located in an area of Tirol known as the "Dreiländereck". Literally meaning "Three Countries Corner", it is where the borders of Austria, Italy and Switzerland converge. From the village of Nauders itself it is just 1.5 kilometres to the Bergkastelseilbahn cable car giving quick and easy access to the ski resort of Nauders with a wide range of ski pistes up to 2,800 metres above sea level. Much of the skiing is aimed at families and intermediate skiers, with highlights including a practice area for kids as well as a funpark with jumps and rails. There is also a free ski bus which will take you to five further ski resorts over the border in Italy. The closest resorts in Austria are Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis and Fendels.
