The villlage of Nauders lies on the Reschen mountain pass, where Austria, Switzerland and Italy converge, It is famous for its beautiful enduro trails leading through untouched nature.
All in all there are more than 20 such trails in Nauders offering plenty of flow and a few techical challenges along the way as they pass through forests, over gravel, past rocks and along forest trails. Most of the trails are not too steep or slippery, but at the same time they are challenging enough to keep enduro riders on their toes. One of the best things about riding the trails in Nauders is that bikers can enjoy fabulous views of the Reschensee lake, for example on the Plamort Trail. This is one of the classic trails in Nauders and starts at the top of the Bergkastelbahn cable car. A curious feature which riders will see dotted across the landscape are the concrete tank defences and bunkers which were built here on the Austrian-Italian border in the lead-up to the Second World War.
Riders who prefer to let the cable car take the strain than pedal up under their own steam can choose from five lifts giving access to the enduro trails in Nauders. Holders of the "3-Länder-Summercard Gold Bike" can use the lifts free of charge, including bike transport.
