Situated close to Hall, Mils has grown in recent decades from a small village into a municipality, thanks to its sunny location and excellent infrastructure.
Hall in Tirol with its attractive medieval oldtown is just a short drive from Mils, while the regional capital Innsbruck is only 12km away and the pretty village of Gnadenwald on a high plateau above the valley is just 2 kilometres. Once a small village, Mils is today home to around 4,000 inhabitants living in small settlements from the banks of the Inn river to the foothills of the Karwendel Mountains. Walking, hiking, cycling, tennis, football and beach volleyball are just a few of the many activities on offer. In winter there is an ice-skating rink, a series of cross-country skiing trails and a floodlit toboggan run. Famous singer Semino Rossi also lives in Mils.
