Lermoos gives skiers the unique opporrunity to carve their turns in the snow while enjoying views of Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze. There are two small ski resorts in the area around Lermoos, each offering good skiing and fine views. The quickest and easiest resort to access from Lermoos itself is the ski area on the Grubigstein mountain.
Great snow, quiet slopes and views of Germany's highest mountain – Lermoos is a great base from which to explore the two ski resorts in this part of Tirol close to the German border. These ski areas, both located in the Lechtal Alps, offer wonderful views of the peaks of the Ammergau Alps to the north, the Wetterstein Mountains to the east and the Mieminger Mountains to the south-east. The small resort on the Grubigstein mountain is the quicker and easier to reach from the village of Lermoos itself, with slopes up to 2,060 metres above sea level catering for skiers of all abilities. The second resort, on the Marienberg mountain above the village of Biberwier, is aimed first and foremost at families and beginners. You will also find several further ski resorts within a radius of 12 kilometres of Lermoos (Ehrwalder Almbahn, Wettersteinbahnen, Zugspitzbahn, Berwang).
