Kirchdorf in Tirol offers the best of both worlds – the peace and quiet of a charming mountain village combined with the action and adventure of a major ski resort. In the village of Kirchdorf itself there is a small resort with gentle slopes for beginners and families as well as a sports shop where you can hire skis, boots, poles, etc. Just five kilometres further south there is another resort at Harschbichl above St. Johann, where most of the slopes are rated intermediate (red). Last but not least, it is just 10 kilometres from Kirchdorf to the famous resort of Kitzbühel where each January the world's best downhill skiers gather for the legendary Hahnenkamm race. Pistes for all abilities, funparks, mountain restaurants and state-of-the-art lifts – Kitzbühel has something for everyone.
