The idyllic mountain farming village of Kaisers is situated in a side valley branching off the Lechtal Valley and is the proud holder of two very special titles.
The first title is that of the most sparsely populated municipality in Austria: Kaisers has just 75 inhabitants. The second is the title of highest municipality in the Reutte region (also known to locals as the Außerfern region) at 1,518 metres above sea level. Here, high above the valley floor, Kaisers enjoys a sunny location surrounded by beautiful mountains which can be explored using the comprehensive network of hiking and mountain biking trails. The region is home to many traditional huts serving local food. In winter the area is popular with ski touring enthusiasts keen to explore untouched powder fields. Further attractions in the surroundings include the Geierwallybühne open air theatre in Elbigenalp and the Erlebnisbad Aqua Nova adventure swimming pool in Steeg.
