Located on the edge of the Zillertal Arena, Gerlos is the perfect place for action and adventure in the Alps. This large family-friendly ski resort has everything you need, from an easy beginners' area to a funpark for budding freestylers.
The Isskogelbahn whisks skiers and snowboarders in just a matter of minutes from the village of Gerlos up into the heart of the mountains. This access point lies in the middle of the Zillertal Arena, which stretches as far west as Zell am Ziller and as far east as the ski resort of Hochkrimml over the border in the neighbouring province of Salzburg. Beginners can work on their technique with instructors from one of the four ski schools in Gerlos, with a large practice area in the resort, while advanced and expert skiers will enjoy exploring the red and black run in the resort or the jumps and rails of the Snowpark Gerlos. Those with thighs of steel can take on the ten-kilometre run from the top of the resort all the way down into the valley dropping 1,930 vertical metres from top to bottom. There are plenty of huts, restaurants and bars throughout the resort.
