Fulpmes in the Stubai Valley has its own ski resort: Schlick 2000. This family-friendly ski area also offers a number of challenging slopes as well as good terrain for freeriding.
A cable car whisks skiers and snowboarders from the village of Fulpmes up onto the mountain, first to the mid-way station and then on to the top station at 2,100 metres above sea level where a viewing platform awaits overlooking the Inn Valley far below. Schlick 2000 is a relatively small ski area with pistes for all abilities as well as some good off-piste on the Kreuzjoch mountain. Snowboarders will enjoy the snowpark, while racers can measure their top speed using the speed gun and kids can practice their skills in the large area given over to beginners. There are several huts and restaurants on the mountain. If you fancy something different, it is just a short drive to the small ski resorts in Mieders (Serlesbahnen) and Neustift (Elferlifte).
