Fügen offers skiers and snowboarders direct access to a large network of pistes. The cable car leaves from the centre of the village and whisks wintersports enthusiasts up into the Spieljoch resort. From there it is also possible to access several further nearby resorts.
Much of the skiing in the Spieljoch resort is aimed at advanced skiers, with plenty of red slopes on offer including one measuring 7 kilometres in length and leading back down to Fügen. Beginners and children will also find a number of easier slopes as well as handy conveyor-belt lifts for those first tentative turns on snow. There is a funslope suitable for kids. From the bottom of the Geolsbahn cable car there is a free shuttle bus to Hochfügen, thereby giving access to the large Hochzillertal-Hochfügen resort. There you will find a range of highlights including snowparks, funparks, a slalom slope, a race piste and many restaurants and huts including fine-dining locations at the Wedelhütte and Alexander in Hochfügen as well as the eye-catching Kristallhütte.
