Course:
The Men Elite Individual Time Trial begins in the small town of Rattenberg and will see the riders take on a tough 52.5 km course finishing in Innsbruck. The first 30km are fast and flat along the Inn Valley. In Weer the riders cross over to the northern side of the Inn river.
 
Just a few kilometres later they reach the main climb of the course from Fritzens to Gnadenwald: a 5km ascent averaging 7.1% and with a maximum gradient of 14%. This punishing section will see the riders climb 350 vertical metres before reaching a plateau in Gnadenwald, where they pass the second intermediate time split. Through the villages of Absam, Thaur, Rum, Arzl and Mühlau the course then leads down into Innsbruck and the finish line in front of the Hofburg imperial palace.
