Kaiserloipe Ellmau

Description

The Kaiserloipe Ellmau is a stunning route for all cross-country skiers, from beginners to experts, in a veritable place in the sun. As it’s a circular tour you can start anywhere, but the Kaiserbad is a good place to start, providing parking, a restaurant and washrooms. From there you head west past the Ellmauer Hof hotel and the Restaurant Sonneck, then past the Unterhausbach farm and back to the start. Depending on your fitness and technique, you can hike the Kaiserloipe in either a short or a long circuit. The longer route is 5.5 kilometres in length, the shorter and faster option inside the Kaiserloipe just 2 kilometres. There are frequent places to stop for refreshments along the way.
