E-MTB tour – the Wannig circuit

Description

This scenic but physically challenging tour leads from Obsteig, past the hamlets of Arzkasten and Aschland, to Nassereith. From there, you continue towards Fernsteinsee, past the campsite and up the old Römerstrasse road. The route then crosses the Fern Pass road and continues towards the Nassereither Alm mountain hut.
At the turnoff, head left down towards Biberwier. Shortly before reaching Biberwier, take the wide road towards the Marienbergalm mountain hut, which gets steeper and steeper the further you go. Once you reach the Sunalm mountain hut, take the short but very steep path up to the Marienbergjoch ridge.
After this, it is downhill all the way. From the Marienbergalm down to Arzkasten and back to Obsteig.

If you will be relying heavily on the battery, we recommend taking a second battery with you.

Highlights:
The Marienbergalm mountain hut, located at an altitude of 1,622 metres above sea level in the Mieming Range. The Hochfeldern Alm mountain hut at 1,732 metres above sea level, where the rugged mountain landscape seems close enough to touch. The Gasthaus Arzkasten, an alpine guesthouse and restaurant that is the perfect place to replenish your energy levels with Tyrolean specialties.
