Berghütte Rosswildalpe

Kurzer Grund 29, 6361 Hopfgarten im Brixental, Österreich

The Rosswildalpe and the Wildalm Lakes - a remote offline holiday paradise. Fish at the Wildalm lakes, go mountain hiking or unwind. Book directly via the website.

Enjoy the easy ascent through the forest and the forest road (approx. 700 metres altitude difference) and in the middle of lush greenery lies the Rosswildalm surrounded by the Schafsiedl and its neighbouring mountains at 2500 metres. You can set off in a star shape from 1790 metres and experience easy to difficult mountain tours. Fishing is always included in Fly Fishing with Heart, ask directly (www.ffmh.at). Nature courses, fly fishing courses or Hike & Flyfish are also available. In any case, the starting point is right next to the hiking trail and the stream, so you can also just enjoy the view in peace and put your legs in the cool water.

The Rosswildalm has always been a well-known mountain hut that is also listed in the Tyrol blog among the top 10 mountain huts. Ancient, hand-built and prepared by us to "Fein am Berg", the Rosswildalpe is probably unique. In winter for tourers without running water, the hut shows what it has to offer in terms of comfort in summer (July to November). Hot and cold running water, shower, WC, living room with wood-burning stove and well-equipped kitchen, 3 rooms for a total of 8 people. The Zirbenstube with corner bench invites you to be cosy. Of course there is a gas system (checked annually) and a PV system for fast cooking and electricity. The large veranda with roof protects you from heat and rain and invites you to watch the stars. At the Rosswildalm there is hardly any "light-pollution" - you see the stars like hardly anywhere else.

The price is a flat rate and includes all additional costs. Fishing is extra and requires legal permission from the tenant and hut owner "Fliegenfischen mit Herz".

The hut is only accessible on foot. On request, we can drive you and your luggage to the "Neue Bamberger Hütte" on the day of arrival for a trail fee.
